Question by Wynter S: Cramping, back pain, and leg pain in early pregnancy?
I am 7 weeks pregnant, and I am now feeling very sick. I am not able to go to the bathroom, I am feeling sick to my stomach and dizzy. I am also feeling some cramps in my legs, back, and abs! This is just the second day of all of it, and I usually freak out and call my doctor. I am also having some discharge that has a bad smell to it. Ewwww…. maybe to much information, I just need to know if I need to freak out like usual or if I am just pregnant and I need to get over it! Please be kind! I really just need some advice!

About the discharge having a bad odor to it, i dont know but it may be a yeast infection. Ask your doctor. Cramping, back pain, and leg pain are all symptoms of pregnancy; I know that for sure, but you still may want to check with your doctor.

Ok.. I don’t know if I am pregnant or not.. but this is insane!!

i had unprotected sex here recently (days aftr my period ended.. then again on new years eve/1st/and second) (babycenter says my most fertile time was between the 28th-2nd)

My lower back hurts so bad!.. also my lower stomach! I am sooo bloated.. Looks like I have a “baby bump” but I am sure thats not what it is.

also.. my boobs are very sore.. yesterday it was really back.. today, my boobs haven’t bothered me yet.. but its still early in the day..

these pains in my stomach don’t even really feel like PMS type cramps.. very odd. my period is not expected to be here till a round the 15th (got it on the 17th last month.. I was 8 days late and I was supposed to get it on the 9th!.. wacky cycle)

anyone have any idea??

oh.. let me add that 4 days a go my boyfriend told me that he had a dream that I was pregnant with twins (boy and a girl) and 2 days ago I had a dream that I was pregnant with a girl! very weird

discharge yes smelly no, smelly means you most likely have an infection or bacteria. it should not be smelly by any means.

okay so yesterday my upper left tooth started hurting. before my braces i had to get a surgical removal of 3 teeth. the tooth that hurts is right next to one of the empty spaces in my mouth. my dentist put braces on the two teeth back from that space so the teeth would come together. but now since the brace line is in the way it is very difficult to see and floss inbetween the two teeth. i tried flossing that area today and there was blood on the floss. and where the tooth is next to the space i scratched the inside of it and there was alot of plaque. ((( but then i cleaned my teeth and there doesn’t seem to be anymore.

so do u think the pain is from my teeth moving around? (cus some of my teeth just randomly start hurting then it goes away)
or do u think this is a cavity?

no, I don’t think it is a cavity. I got my braces like a month ago. I didn’t get any teeth pulled, but after my dentist put on my braces, my gums swelled up like crazy. everytime I flossed it would bleed & bleed & bleeed! so after 2 weeks of living with that, I went back to my ortho. He cleaned the area for me (which felt SO good haha, he got some chunks of food out too) and he advised me to floss 4 times per day, use a soft pick (Idk if you got any of those, but it’s just a teeny brush that can be used to clean under the gums and between the teeth) & also to brush the gums there too. after a week, the pain went away. but don’t stop flossing that area like I did, because now the pain is back, and the inflammation is WORSE! =*(

yep, I’d say the pain is definitly from your teeth moving, especially if it is closing a gap, the pain must be really intense. and the randomly hurting stuff..that’s totally normal too. same with me =)
don’t worry! the pain & blood will go away really soon, as long as you clean the area really well.
if it doesn’t go away in 2 weeks though, I’d make an appointment. your ortho can tell better than I can!

oh, and btw, when your gums bleed, they are probably swelled up. when they are swelled up, there is a space between your gums and tooth, and that’s why food and stuff gets caught in there a lot. it’s kinda like a pocket.

For several months (at least nine) I’ve been having various pain, most of them in my upper body. I had a headache for more than a week straight this summer, before it began to die out–which it eventually did do.

Anyway, now most of my problems are in my chest and arms. Particularily my right arm, and chest. I dont have any trouble eating or anything. But whenever I move my right arm, I feel a PAINFUL disk or something rotate near the center of my back.

A few conditions I have that may attribute:
Sleep apnea
Bad Back
I’m 17. I play no sports. I go to school and come home.
I was in a fight when I was 9 or 10 and was body slammed. I have suffered back trouble ever since, I suffer chronic pain.

I am not on ANY Medications at all. I haven’t been in years. Not even for pain so…I’m kind of wondering if this is just a phase of chronic pain or something like that. Is it heart related?

I want to try and get an idea of what this could be before I go to my Dr.

Ok, so sometimes in the middle of the night, When I’m watching a show, laying up on 2 pillows relaxing because EVERYDAY I spend ALL my life on the compute, sitting slouched over.
And now lately sometimes randomly, like just now happened, (By the way I drink Pepsi and alot of pop sometimes before I go to bed). anyways. back to the story, I was laying, siting up on my pillows, watching It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. And then all of a sudden when I got up to get another drink of pop, I took a deep breathe in and the lower back SIDES on my body of my lower abdomen, or it might have been the VERY bottom of my kidneys ( I don’t know) I felt a sharp VERY painful pain when I tried taking a full deep breathe in. So I got up and tried to breath in very very small breathes, went to get a cup of water and an ibuprofen pill to help maybe. then While I was standing up and I took it, the pain persisted. I waited there in pain trying not to take deep breathes, and then I kept drinking my cup of water ( I didn’t finish it) It started to go away, then I went down stairs to restart the internet and came back up stairs to my room and here I am now. the pain went away now. It only stayed there for the time being I guess…. Now I can take a full deep breathe in with no sharp pain. Why did it hurt so much earlier? It was a very sharp pain on my lower back sides when I took a breathe in. It felt like if someone with sharp fingernails, grabbed the bottom of my kidneys or squashed the bottom of my lungs very hard. it felts like someone stabbing the bottom back of my lungs possibly. But it felt very very very sharp pain. on a scale of 1 – 10 , 10 being hit by a train or a heart attack. and 1 being a flick on your nose or a small pinch.
It was at a 7 or 8. It hurt alot!
I was almost going to wake up my mom to take me to the hospital… But its 1:50 AM and I’m 15 years old. today well… yesterday now… was my birthday… I barely ever drink water, only to sip it when I take pills. I always drink pop. which I know is very unhealthy… But It cant be my kidneys failing… I’m only 15… I always have lower abdomen pains… always… I always sit… I never go outside or do any exercises…. I’m always on the computer….. Now it feels like sitting down is all I can do… If I lay flat or stand up too long I get abdomen pains… Nerve pinches on my lungs. or muscles. And my inguinal lymph nodes get swollen and hurt….

So what could it be possibly? Please tell me what all possibilities are of having a sharp pain in my lower back sides when I take a deep breathe while laying down or standing up…
I hate this pain sometimes… It hurts so much T_T

And If I lean over like L from Death Note when I’m standing up or sitting on my chair like L, It hurts the same but at a 6 or 5. and its closer to my hips. and it doesn’t hurt during breathing.
Is it possibly: Pericarditis?

Symptoms (capitalized ones are my symptoms):

* SHORTNESS OF BREATHE.
* Coughing.
* Hiccups.
* MUSCLE ACHES.

I was said by my doctor of having possible Asthma or Bronchitis also.
Because On a breathing test (where you blow into a small contraption as hard as possible to make a little disk raise in the air) it did not go high up at all and I was trying my best!

So, I know I’m pregnant. at the end of my 5th week. Today, got a really annoying back pain ( not the lower back, somewhere in the waist/kidneys area). My boobs stopped hurting today. No bleding, white discharge. still tired and nauseated. It’s all normal, right? Or should I worry. I don’t remember back pain being a pregnancy symptom.
